Author: Agatha Christie

I was ready giving it 3 bananas until I got thru the last few pages. Agatha never fails to impress me. I thought I got everything right as to who the real murderer was and then a strike of a last-minute execution made everything shocking. Agatha’s brilliance in plot and dialogue construction is unparalleled. After all, she’s the queen of crime.

The story revolves around a murder of a famous artist. The incident took place 16 years ago and the wife is convicted of the crime and soon died. However, the daughter comes back and wants to clear her mother’s name. She hires our Belgian detective Hercule Poirot to study the case.

“A case of murder is a case of murder whether it happened yesterday or sixteen years ago.”
