Title: Money Heist (S1: P1 & 2)
High-calibre, modern and realistic approach to a Robin Hood story. A heart-pounding and exhilarating spanish crime drama series with chops and art that will leave the viewers hungry for more. I occasionally and instantaneously found myself breathing heavily due to its fucking storyline and characterization. They are phenomenal! Exquisite. The viewers are carried to a roller coaster ride of emotions until they question how the hell the creator/s can surpass this for the second season. I feel rather bewildered as to why I sympathize more with the Mastermind “Professor” and his robbers for they obviously won’t come on a clean slate anytime soon. And I safely assume that not in any way the series’ motive is to romanticize any form of heist or hijack, big or small, but rather to showcase individualism or singularity on each of their life struggles and how it manifests in a messed-up (but awesome) team and situation. And also, the grandest robbery they manage to succeed on is more of a resistance against the government and its lies. The hype on Heist is real and it’s goddamn staying.
